My mini world...

I am Jean, a wife, a mother of two and a Mama Jean to my nieces and nephews. I love making things small. Feeling ko isa akong higante sa isang maliit na mundo.

I remember my childhood, playing with paper dolls. Gupit-gupit lang. I remember my nanay getting mad at me, dami kasing nakakalat na papel sa lapag. And I didnt know if its a skill or a talent hehehe.... Kapag nakita ng mga kapatid ko at pinsan mga nagawa ko, papagawa na din sila sa akin. Kasama na doon ang bulyaw sa amin ng nanay ko dahil sa kalat hehehe...

I'ts been so long, a lot of things happened. Schools, work, marriage, motherhood and now a full pledge housewife. Since then, I thought I forgot my skills on doing miniatures.

Until one day my husband brought home an aquarium (for little green turtles). He's boss asked him if he could look after the 2 green turtle for a week while they were on vacation (it was they're sons precious pet). And my husband couldn't say no...of course.
When my kids saw them, they were thrilled but I am the most amused. When I saw the little island with its little palm tree. My imagination get wild and made a little table and chair made of popsicle sticks (my daughter had a project on popsicle sticks that time and just like me, nagkalat lang din all over the place). When my daughters and nieces saw it, they were as pleased as I am. But of course the turtles didn't and unluckily one of them died after 3 days (imagine my husband's face when I told him the news...arggghhh..). So I decided to remove it and put my little chair and tables on a shoe box (while my husband went to the pet shop and buy a new green turtle...sorry dad!).

Since then I couldn't stop thinking of where I should put the little chair and table so I made my first obra...not bad for a try-out, huh!
the chair and table I made for the island
Then my daughter asked me if I could make her a kitchen so I made one...

Aiyana's kitchen...
and then she told me to make her a little store...
Aiyana's Store complete with longganisa hehehe...
My eldest, Colleen and my niece had asked me to make them a school scene. They wanted to give it as a gift for their teachers for teachers day, so I did two for them. sorry no pictures, before I could take a picture of it, my daughter and my niece wrap it up and gave it away.
Benj's garden..
And here are some of my first creations...
Wedding mail post...the rock behind were part of the design in the aquarium (I brought it from Corregidor field trip)...
When my sister requested me to create more as her pasalubong to her friends in Qatar. I made 1 more for her and she payed me P500.00 (not bad for a start ehhh...). And now she's still requesting me to do more kasi babalik daw sya for vacation on March. I can say that my skills on doing miniatures scenes is still fresh but I know now that I am improving.

So this is it.Nothing else can stop me now...welcome to my Mini-World
